When you receive email records from a request, they typically arrive in .PST (Outlook) or .MBOX (Gmail/Apple) formats. This page will walk you through how to access them. SWMitech will print these to .PDF for easy viewing.
Option 1: Opening .PST Files (Recommended)
Best for users with Microsoft Outlook installed
Open Outlook (Do not try to double-click the .pst file itself)
Go to File
Open & Export
Open Outlook Data File
Browse to your .pst file and click OK
The file will appear in your left-hand folder pane as a new "Outlook Data File". You can now browse, search, and print emails as you normally would.
Right-click the "Outlook Data File" name in your sidebar and select "Close Outlook Data File" to remove it from your view.
Don't have Outlook? Use the Free GoldFynch PST Viewer to view your files directly in your web browser!
Option 2: Opening .MBOX Files
Navigate to GoldFynch MBOX Viewer
Upload and/or drag and drop your .mbox file into the browser window
You now will be able to browse your emails as they will load in a searchable list
