Connecting to a BenQ Board via the Board List
Once you have the app installed, either double click on the desktop shortcut or hit the Windows key and search for the app in the Start menu.
Once the app loads, you should see this screen. The first time you open it, you will need to click through a brief tutorial about selecting a board.
The board you want to connect to will likely show up in the field labeled 'Board List.' Select the board, then click on the 'Connect' button.
Connecting to a BenQ Board via Pairing Code
If the board you're looking for isn't in the list, or if the list is empty, you can also connect to the BenQ using a pairing code. First, press the 'Input' button on either the face of the BenQ or the remote. This will bring up the input menu. Select the 'Android' option.
NOTE: Your BenQ may not have any other inputs or already be in Android mode. In that case, go on to the next step.
When the Android input is selected, you should see a screen like this. On the bottom bar, there will be an icon with four squares. Touch this icon to bring up the Apps list.
From here, find and touch the InstaShare 2 icon. It may be in a different place than shown in the picture.
Touching this icon will bring up the pairing screen.
This screen shows the name of your BenQ board, and the code you will use to pair with it.
Enter the code into the field next to the 'Connect' button in the app on your computer, and click the 'Connect' button.
Sharing Your Screen
Once you've connected by either method, you'll see this window on your computer. From here, you can select to share what's on the BenQ to your computer screen, or share what's on your computer screen to the BenQ. In most cases, you'll want to click 'Device to Board'.
When casting to the board, you have the option to either duplicate your computer's screen on the BenQ board, or extend your screen. Extending your screen allows you to drag windows over to it to share so you can display something else on your computer screen.
Once you've made your choice, click 'Share'.
When you're done, click the 'Disconnect' button on the previous screen to stop casting.
