If you are running a Scene in GoGuardian Teacher, it can block sites for your class. You can undo that yourself.
Open GoGuardian Teacher and go to your class session.
Find the student tile marked Blocked by Scene.
Click Unblock for class, then click Update Scene.
Have the student try again. If the site is still blocked, they can type chrome://restart in the address bar and try once more.
Only the teacher who created a Scene can change it. If you are using a shared Scene, ask the teacher who made it.
If the block page does not mention your Scene, the district filter blocked the site. Teachers cannot change the district filter, but we review most requests the same day. Submit a ticket that includes:
The full web address, or a screenshot of the block page
The class that needs the site and when you need it
The name of one student who sees the block, so we can test
Some sites load videos, games, or sign-in pages from other web addresses. If the main page opens but parts of it are blank, tell us what is missing so we can allow the extra addresses.
Make sure the student is signed in to a school Chromebook with their school account, not as a guest or with a personal account.
Have the student restart the Chromebook and sign in again.
In GoGuardian Teacher, open the Students tab and check the student's school email for typos. If it is wrong, remove the student and add them again with the correct email.
Brand-new student? Their account has to exist first. See New Student Missing in Apps.
Still missing? Submit a ticket with the student's name, your class, and the Chromebook's asset tag.
To block a site for just your class, add it to the blocked sites in your Scene. To block a site for the whole school, submit a ticket with the full web address.
