We add the domain to the approved list, usually the same business day, and reply on the ticket.
The student signs out of the Chromebook, signs back in, and tries again. The change can take a few minutes to reach the device.
If it still fails, reply on the same ticket instead of opening a new one.
Can a student sign in to the Chromebook with their home district account?
No. Students sign in with their KRESA account first, then add the district or college account inside Google apps.
Can a student add a personal Gmail account?
No. Personal Gmail accounts are not approved, to protect student data.
It worked last year. Why is it blocked now?
Districts sometimes change the domain they use for student accounts. Send the full email address in a ticket and we will check it.
Does this apply to staff Chromebooks?
Staff devices use a separate policy. Submit a ticket and note that it is a staff device.
Submit a ticket at support.swmitech.org with the full email address and the building or program.
