Make sure the display is on and set to the right input. The input name is usually printed next to the port on the wall plate or the back of the display.
On Windows, press Windows key + P and choose Duplicate so the class sees the same thing you do. If it is set to Second screen only, your laptop screen goes dark and only the display shows your desktop.
On a Mac, go to Apple menu > System Settings > Displays, select the external display, and set Use as to mirror your built-in display.
If you use a docking station, unplug the dock's power for 10 seconds and plug it back in. This fixed several recent tickets.
Try a different cable or wall port if you have one.
Wireless casting is not set up in every room, and the tool depends on your building:
BenQ interactive panels use InstaShare 2. See Casting with InstaShare 2 in Common Questions.
AirServer receivers are used in some buildings. Unplugging the receiver for 30 seconds fixes most AirServer problems.
ClickShare is used in some KRESA rooms. If your room does not appear in the list, restart the ClickShare base and try again.
If wireless will not connect during class, plug in with a cable so you can keep teaching, then submit a ticket.
